Chon Nguyen, CEO of Newgentek, participated in a short panel discussion with other sponsors of the 2020 Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Fast 50 - Fastest Growing Companies. Chon, along with Angel Gonzalez of CenterState Bank and Gretchen Whalen of CLA (Clifton Larson Allen) and moderator Ian Anderson, publisher of the Tampa Bay Business Journal, discussed shared challenges for fast growing companies, some of the tangible and intangible obstacles you'll face in the beginning and how to find support, execute and be flexible along the way.

Newgentek Founder & CEO Chon Nguyen joins board of Tampa Bay EDC

Chon Nguyen, founder and CEO of Newgentek, a Tampa-based technology solutions and support provider, has joined the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council.

Newgentek became an EDC Investor at the Gazelle level in 2018 and Nguyen has been a featured entrepreneur on the Make It Tampa Bay talent attraction website. The Tampa Bay EDC also previously assisted Nguyen with a business expansion of Newgentek.

“We are excited to welcome Chon as a board member of the Tampa Bay EDC. His expertise and commitment to our community make him a great asset to our leadership team,” said Craig Richard, president and CEO of the Tampa Bay EDC. “Having worked with our team on his own expansion project, Chon also understands firsthand how growing local companies can benefit from the support the EDC provides to growing businesses.”

A successful entrepreneur from a young age, Nguyen started an IT managed services business that is still growing today. His strong interest in the hospitality industry led him to develop a kitchen recipe solution software for multi-unit restaurants, and he also became a partner at The Proper House restaurant group. Nguyen founded Newgentek in 2017 to provide end-to-end, turnkey technology solutions for multi-unit operators, hospitality and enterprise markets.

Newgentek named 2020 Rising Star by Commercial Integrator

Newgentek named 2020 Rising Star by Commercial Integrator! Rising Stars show how smaller integration firms can use the right strategy and solid practices to lead to bigger numbers, more projects and continue to become prominent players in the AV industry.

Introducing Andrew Kedjierski as Newgentek's Director of Service Operations

Newgentek, a strategic partner for IT infrastructure, support and commercial audio and visual services, has appointed Andrew Kedjierski as Director of Service Operations. Andrew joins the Newgentek leadership team with years of enterprise and government experience. After managing the Top-Secret Network at the White House, Andrew was the Director of Global Network Engineering at Tech Data, and most recently held several leadership roles at Vology. 

Andrew brings executive experience managing large enterprise environments for retail, hospitality, health, manufacturing, and entertainment companies across the US and globally. In his new role, Andrew will be responsible for Newgentek's service delivery teams, and helpdesk- partnering with Newgentek's customer success teams to deliver a world-class experience to our customers across the country.
